Christmas Miscellaneous

In place of the Christmas card I haven't gotten around to sending, I thought I would do a good job updating the blog. Here are some pics of recent happenings. Please forgive me for not sending a card with our John Hancock's. Christmas came early for Buddy. He got a new table and chairs and a kitchen! Unfortunately the kitchen is not keeping him out of mine. He still likes to "help" me cook and now my pots and pans end up in his kitchen when I'm not looking.
These are my two baby deer from this post. We think they might be bucks.

Here is B checking on all of his friends.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone. Love and Hugs, S, J, B and G

A Firehouse Christmas

We went to the annual GFD christmas party with B this year. I remember my Brother and I going when we were little. I don't remember my dad letting us drive the truck though... Oh yeah, here we go Buster!

Doing crafts. This was the only time he sat. Otherwise he was running in circles (and I swear there was no chocolate involved!)

Here comes Santa! I think Grandpa is more excited.

Winter's HERE!

Here are some pictures from a couple of weeks ago when we got majorly dumped on. I'm getting snow tires and fancy new rims for part of my Christmas present this year. My tires skid around when it looks overcast outside! p.s. notice J shoveling before he pulled in his truck. Makes me think his truck is not manly enough to handle it...

Back on the horse...

Some things I need to be accountable for. I have decided to give myself two years to run a half marathon. I was halfway there in 2008 and I feel regret for not completing that goal (I had a good excuse people!) Anyways, my lovely friend and B's Godmother has suggested a little race in September. We'll see! If anyone would like to join me please be my guest! An update on my little space where I made the above gift. Hey, I can make this work even though my soldering stuff is in the basement. At first it made me frustrated but now I think it will be better down there. Buddy is already into all of my beads and tools (he says, "momma's hammer"). So with more accountability I will tell you that my friend and I are going into business together and we will be releasing our super ideas into the world spring of 2011.

On a side note. We made a little trip to the buffalo zoo a couple of weekends ago. Here he is waiting for the seals to make an appearance.

A Deer Story

View from his tree stand

We are very proud of our hunter. This year he got us three deer. Two with his bow and one with his shot gun. This majestic animal above is "a once in a lifetime" deer as J puts it. We are thankful to have this animals meat, as well as the others, to nourish us this year. Here is an article you can read about the hunt. (The article lists him as 28. J is actually 30 going on 31 in a month and a half!)

Halloween

B is sitting on my lap "helping" me. This is the best I can do for this post!

Autumn is here!

We had a lot of fun at the "Great Pumpkin Farm." Benji fed the baby goats one kernel at a time. The poor goats had to pry it out of his little grip. We went on a hayride and a carousel ride. There were tunnels and slides too! We even got to share some kettle korn which seems to be "safe" for him everywhere we go!

B did some modeling in the yard. Carter's is having a cutie's contest that I signed him up for. I'll let you know when you can vote for your favorite (B of course!...)

Little Gleek

Jeffrey captured this little video last night during Glee. We all love it!

I couldn't resist buying B this shirt and hat (there are also matching socks that you can't see).

Terrible Parents in September

We only took one video and one picture this whole month on the same day (9/4, his 19 month day)

August Pics

So this month Jeffrey and I both had a weekend of fun while the other stayed with Buddy. YEA!!We did some fun stuff together, too. Here are some pics to recap our month.

J went to Nascar with "the boys."

While I was away, some milked got spilled and a tornado ran through the house.

At the flush mount setting workshop in Boston. I went with a good friend and we had a blast!
At Knox with the kids on a gorgeous August day (too many to keep track of)

At the Erie County fair we made some new friends.

Re-arranging and de-cluttering (my studio space will be revealed in this spot soon!)

Benji became obsessed with a little red dude this month.

I'm thinking about paint colors and uninspired by all of these! Too neutral for me!

A new "cousin" named Ivy. We met her at B's Great-Grandma's 90th!

July Pics

Benji will be 18 months on the 4th. I can't believe it! Since his first birthday he has turned into a little boy with a lot of opinions, hobbies, and words. He loves to help me and this morning I mentioned we needed to vacuum today and he busted out his little vacuum and got a head start for me. He loves all vehicles and tells me if a car or motorcycle just went by. He likes to read and play the kazoo (he can make a kazoo out of anything, I won't tell you what he found in the bottom drawer in the bathroom that turned into a kazoo on Sunday...). He is a sweet boy with lots of kisses for everyone!

Our two baby fawns we love to watch!

Vermont!

We went to Vermont at the end of May with our good friends Liza and Kath. Liza ran the marathon while we were in Burlington (go Liza!) for a couple of days. Then we went to stay at an Aunt to Liza's house, in Greensboro. It was gorgeous up there and all new things for Buddy to get in to. Shelburne ,VT

We turned the seat around for this long trip. The novelty had worn off by the time we went home.

A trip to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. Benji made a cow bear and we named him Monty.

keepin' it new

New activities...The tongue is hanging out just like mine does!

We have to hold all the crayons!
A new toy. Grandma and Grandpa M. took him to the Fisher-Price store and Benji walked out the automatic door with this toy. Grandma decided she should pay for it and I agreed.
