We tried to take one of those hold the camera and smile pictures...but it didn't work (this was the best out of 9 takes). We hope you all have a great party night. We are going out to dinner (poor Ginger has to wait in the car) and then coming back to the hotel to drink wine. Yeah, real exciting...huh?

Knox Farm
I am so happy to have this wonderful resource almost in our backyard. It is a state run farm that offers spectacular views and awesome trails. Ginger and I have a lot of fun exploring this everyday.

Home...Sorta!
Here is a picture of J and G lounging in the "apartment." However, I can't wait to be in our house!

Food Lit Junkie
I have, within the last year, been obsessed with reading about food. I just found out the name of the genre and I was super psyched. I thought I would post a few of the books I can remember reading. Here they are in no particular order: Heat; The Omnivore's Dilema; Eat, Pray, Love; Trail of Crumbs; Garlic and Sapphires; Tender at the Bone; Comfort Me with Apples; United States of Arugula; Waiting; and Julie and Julia. I'm sure there are some I am forgetting. To answer your question: No, I don't get hungry reading about food.
Mmm...yummy!

The Spiral Jetty
If you live in Northern Utah it is your obligation to go see the Spiral Jetty. It was a somewhat long, bumpy drive but I think it was worth it. Bring along a picnic and make it an afternoon. Where else can you see earth art like this so close to home?
Here is a really interesting article to check out about it: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=980DE0DF113BF930A25753C1A9649C8B63

Caramel Apples
My Friend, Meghan, and I decided to be Martha Stewarty. We made really spectacular caramel apples. Don't you want to lick your screen? Here is the before picture (above) and the after picture (below).
My little friend, Scott, said they were the best caramel apples he has ever had (I will add that it was the first time he had them!) and if anyone ever made him another it would not be as good as the one I made. So sweet!
